St Carlo Acutis
On Friday boys from 6th class travelled to the North Cathedral to venerate the relics of St Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint, in a special celebration for primary schools.
Bishop Fintan, who recently confirmed the boys in Confirmation, celebrated this special occasion:
“This visit of St Carlo’s relics is part of our preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Eucharistic Procession in Cork. This historic procession is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for our diocese. It is a moment to remember the faith of those who went before us, but just as importantly to renew that faith in our own time”.
